Jango Fett: Open Seasons #1 summary:

In the first comic of the Open Seasons series, Jango Fett is a young boy living with his family on a farm. The Mandalorians are hiding within the cornfields, trying to elude the Death Watch. While Jango walks through the fields, he sees the Death Watch. They question the boy to see if he knew where the Mandalorians might be. Jango, frightened, told them that his dad saw somebody earlier in the corn fields. The Death Watch began searching the fields looking for them. They ran into Jango's father and tortured him into telling the location of the Mandalorians. He refused to talk, so the Death Watch was about to kill Jango's father but then Jango's mother came with a blaster in hand. She killed one of the Death Watch soldiers and ordered the Death Watch to let her son (who had also been captured along with Jango's dad) go. His father yelled for Jango to run, and he did, trying to get as far away as possible while he could hear the sound of his parents getting killed. Upon running away, Jango ran into the Mandalorians. The Death Watch had lit the cornfields on fire. So now the Mandalorians were frantically trying to find a way out. Jango knew a way out, and lead the Mandalorians safely out of the cornfields. After escaping they found the Death Watch in a near by town, stealing supplies from stores. They ambushed the Death Watch and the Death Watch retreated. In the middle of the battle Jango was able to get revenge on the Death Watch soldier who had killed his parents, via a blaster shot to the chest. But this was only the beginning of the battle.

Jango Fett: Open Seasons #2 summary:

In this comic, Jaster Mereel is killed, and Jango Fett is elected leader of the Mandalorians. Jaster leads the Mandalorians into a battle and it is Jango's first mission as a squad commander, a high rank among the Mandalorians. Since it was Jango's first mission as squad commander, they were keeping it simple, the job was just a routine extraction mission. Their target was a rookie security squad pinned down by hostile locals on Korda Six. But, the Mandalorians didn't realize that they were heading into a trap set by the Death Watch. When the Mandalorians first landed, the first thing they needed to do was kill off some locals. It was supposed to be very easy, but the Death Watch had come to the planet before hand and armed and trained the locals. Then, after alot of Mandalorians had lost their lives, Jango's squad went after the target but only to find the Death Watch. Jango's squad killed off the Death Watch that ambushed them and then went back to help Jaster. Jaster was fighting the leader of the Death Watch, Vizsla. Jaster was knocked down and ordered Montross, who was near by, to do an airlift (use his jet pack to swoop down and grab Jaster before he could be killed). Montross claimed that he was through taking his orders, and that he'd take good care of the troops. As a result, Jaster was killed. After getting the Death Watch to retreat, the Mandalorians decided they wanted Jango to be leader instead of Montross. They kicked Montross out of the Mandalorians and Jango was elected the new leader.

Jango Fett: Open Seasons #3 summary:

In this comic, the Mandalorians, led by Jango Fett, become extinct at the hands of the Jedi. The Death Watch blame the Mandalorians of doing horrible crimes that they didn't actually do. They told the Jedi that they had commited alot of murders, and even staged acts to make it look like they had commited serious crimes. It was a huge battle between the Jedi and Mandalorians. Half of the Jedi Order, and all of the Mandalorians but Jango Fett, died in the battle. Dooku led the battle, and this is where he got the idea to clone Jango Fett into a whole army. Dooku, while fighting the Mandalorians, saw how good Jango Fett was, and knew he would be the ideal clone for the army in which is master Palpatine was planning to make. It was too late when the Jedi realized their mistake of killing them. It was the end of the Mandalorians, and the start of Jango's bounty hunting career.

Jango Fett: Open Seasons #4 summary:

This comic starts off by telling that the Jedi turned Jango over to the governor of Galidraan, and then the governor sold him into slavery. Jango Fett was on a slavery owned spice transport when pirates raided the ship. It created havoc among the ship Jango was on, giving him a chance to escape. Jango freed himself of slavery then went after the Death Watch, particularly just the leader of them, Vizsla. Jango fought one on one with Vizsla aboard a ship the Death Watch was on. Vizsla knocked Jango Fett almost unconscious and then ran for an escape pod before the whole ship went down (Jango had damaged the ship upon entering). Right when Vizsla was going into the pod, Jango Fett leaped onto him, and the door shut behind them...leaving the two of them trapped in an escape pod until they landed somewhere. The two of them battled it out on land, after the escape pod landed. Vizsla was close to killing Jango, when dire-cats (a species of wild animal that looks like a lion with fangs, and spikes coming out of its back) showed up and killed Vizsla, but left Jango alone because he was so beaten and cut, that, as said by Jango "I guess they thought I was bad meat" and then points to a bad cut given to him by Vizsla. The next scene shows Jango agreeing to become cloned under the condition of getting his own unaltered clone.
