This tutorial will teach you how to rip a video DVD on to your computer using a program called AnyDVD. First, purchase (or pirate) a copy of AnyDVD. To buy it, go to SlySoft's website.
Note: All the default settings in AnyDVD are sufficient for cracking the encryption on video DVDs, but feel free to change them to your liking.
Make sure you have AnyDVD running (you'll see it in your notification area), then insert your DVD into the DVD drive.
You'll see a message like this:

This means that AnyDVD is busy disabling the copyright protection on the DVD and (depending on your settings) possibly disabling a lot of other features/protections that are on the DVD.
After this message goes away, AnyDVD is done with the disc and you are ready to begin copying the contents of the DVD.
Right click AnyDVD in your notification area (bottom right hand corner of your screen, on the task bar) and you can either choose "Rip to Image" to create an image of the DVD (.iso file) or "Rip Video DVD to Harddisk" which will copy the DVD as is.
Choose the setting that you need depending on your situation. A window will pop up, simply specify where you would like the files or file (if you chose to create .iso) to be ripped. Now click "Copy DVD" and the DVD will be copied to your PC. If you chose "Rip Video DVD to Harddisk," then remember that the files can later be played using VLC (download here). And alternatively, if you chose "Rip to Image," the .iso file that was created can be used to conveniently burn the original movie contents to a blank DVD.
