This tutorial will teach you what you need to know in order to open a .torrent file and begin file sharing.

To open up a .torrent file and begin downloading / uploading the desired files, you need to download a torrenting program (otherwise known as a client). There are many different clients out there, and all come with different features. The most lightweight and effecient torrenting client that you can use is uTorrent. Download uTorrent here: www.utorrent.com.

Installing uTorrent is very simple and self-explanatory so there's no need to explain anything. After you have installed uTorrent, open up the .torrent file. If the .torrent file extension is not yet associated with your newly installed program, you can open up uTorrent then go to File > Add Torrent. Once the torrent has loaded the trackers and connected to the seeds and peers, your download will begin.
