This tutorial will teach you how to activate a Verizon cell phone, even if it's been flashed over to another network.

Almost all the time, all you need to do in order to activate a Verizon cell phone is dial *228 and hit send. It will take you through some automated prompts, this should only take 2 minutes or so. If you don't know the password to your account, make sure you obtain that before you call in, because you will be asked for it.

If, for example, your password is "hello", when prompted for the password you would need to enter "43556" since the letters are on those keys.

If you have a Verizon phone that was flashed over to another network (such as Revol, MetroPCS, etc) and you would like to flash it back to Verizon, try dialing *22800 and then press send. I had this problem when trying to flash a Verizon env2 back to Verizon when it had been flashed to Revol before. Dialing *228 only went to Revol's provisioning prompts instead of Verizon's, but dialing *22800 forces it to go to Verizon's activation.
